Drivers in our community can always count on our Lima service center to deliver high-quality service and repairs. If there's a particular icon on your dashboard you aren't familiar with, refer to our trusty guide below - if an icon is red, it means there's a severe issue that needs to be addressed immediately.

Common Dashboard Warning Lights

Auto High-Beam Assist: If this icon is green on your dashboard, this means your lights are set to automatic.

High beams will turn on automatically when it's dark outside and there aren't other drivers in your field of view, and will turn off automatically when conditions change.

Battery: This icon in red means your battery isn't charging properly - schedule a battery inspection in Lima as soon as possible.

If you see the "Smart Key Battery Low" warning, change the battery in your key fob.

Brakes: The red brake fluid symbol ("BRAKE" in all caps) means brake fluid is low. If you add more and the light doesn't go away, there may be a more complicated issue with your brakes. For your safety, get this checked immediately.

A yellow brake warning light means brake pads are worn down, and should be replaced.

Critical Warning Icon: If you see this icon, an important update needs to be implemented as soon as possible.

Red warnings are particularly urgent while orange/amber warnings mean an issue is detected and should be handled in the near future.

Engine/Transmission: Various lights may point to potential issues with your engine, but this icon should turn on when you start your vehicle, and should shut off shortly after.

If the light stays on, there may be an issue with your vehicle's emissions and service may be required.

Engine Temperature: This icon in red means the powertrain is overheating.

Pull over as soon as you can and let the engine cool off for an extended period of time - generally at least 20 to 30 minutes - before opening the hood of your vehicle.

Tires: This icon means low tire pressure - inflate your tires or change them as soon as possible. If the light is red instead of yellow, one or more of your tires may have rapidly deflated.

A flat tire is generally indicated by an exclamation point in the middle of the semi-circle, with visible tread on the bottom.
